After the race, we headed (very slowly) back to the hotel for a long nap. We woke up starved, so we headed out for some more BBQ at Rippy's, where I was thrilled to hear the classics "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys" and "I Got Friends in Low Places" (Rent Seekers flashback!). We then wandered around some more (very slowly), and visited Hatch Show Print, which is where they've been making most of the show posters in Nashville for years & years (we found a poster for The Tragically Hip's Another Roadside Attraction there, too!!). Later, we checked out the post-race concert, where Lady Antebellum was playing (my mom tells me they're famous amongst the country music set). It was a little new country-ish for us, so we headed back to the strip, where we heard some amazing bands at The Stage and Robert's (where we heard the best guitar solo ever). We then returned to Paradise Park for some corn dogs and cheese fries (hey, we earned it!), and, after enjoying some celebratory champagne, fell asleep very early.
