More visits!

After Great Wolf Lodge, we stopped in St. Catharines to visit James's parents, who are doing really well. It was a short visit, but great to see them! We're going to see them next weekend when they and Heather come to DC - we can't wait! After that, we headed to Pickering for another day's visit with the whole Hemsworth clan. On Tuesday morning, we went for a run with Kevin, and the kids (and Winston) joined in the after-run stretch party. That afternoon, we went to Jason, Alex, and Hailey's new house for a barbeque. It's a gorgeous house (we are suffering from extreme house envy), and they fed us like kings, queens, princes, and princesses. After a great day, it was time to head home the next morning. We miss everyone already and can't wait for the next visit! Thanks for all the fun!

Great Wolf Lodge, Niagara Falls

For my parents' 40th anniversary, the whole family got together to celebrate at Great Wolf Lodge. We had so much fun playing in the wave pool, on the water slides, on the lilypads, and in the lazy river. Avery showed off her handstand prowess, and Ewan had great fun on the frog slide outside. Avery took lots of great photos with her waterproof camera - we can't wait to see them. Grandma made Avery a Little Mermaid birthday cake, which was a big hit, and enjoyed by all.

Rush!

We saw Rush's Snakes & Arrows tour live at Nissan Pavillion in Virginia. It was an awesome show, complete with a 10 minute drum solo. We have a bunch of video footage, which I'm sure James will post here soon.

Pibb's Acre

Did we mention that we checked out the Prospect Park Farmer's Market in Brooklyn? The best find of the day was a giant container of wheatgrass, which we brought back for Mr. Pibb and Isabella. Here are some pics of them enjoying...

We LOVE Brooklyn

We visited NYC and stayed at Tamara's new place, which is in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We loved the neighborhood, especially the tea at Ozzie's, the cool Brooklyn Industries store, and Area Baby, where we got some fun gifts (French Bingo, anyone?) for Avery's birthday. We had planned on going to the beach, but weather did not cooperate, so we went to Shake Shack, which I've been dying to visit, the Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park, Virgil's BBQ, Magnolia Cupcakes (outside of which we saw Heidi Klum being chased by paparazzi - I took a pic out of the cab window), a trip on the Staten Island Ferry, and Grimaldi's, an awesome pizza place under the Brookyln Bridge. We had a fabulous time!!!

James's trip to Europe!

James was in Europe for a couple of weeks at the end of June-early July. Check back soon for more details and the pics!
