Digging Out

They're calling it the "snowpocalypse"...there is a LOT of snow around here. James spent a lot of time shoveling today (depite shoveling like a maniac all day yesterday), and he and a neighbor decided to shovel the street because the city sent what must have been a golf cart with a shovel duct taped to the front down it earlier. Here's a cool pic of James digging the car out from the snow that a neighbor "considerately" piled all over it with a snowblower.

The Blizzard Continues....

Still supposed to snow more tonight and tomorrow morning....probably about 18 inches or so at this point.

Lauren's first winter wonderland!

So far, we have over 8 inches of snow, with another 12 inches expected. This is quite the snowmergency for the DC area! We went for a beautiful winter walk this morning, all bundled up snug. Lauren stuck out her tongue to taste the snowflakes, and Mummy and Daddy indulged in wintery red cup Starbucks. We're planning a blissful day of fire in the fireplace, a lit Christmas tree, carols on the stereo, football on TV, and warm drinks.

Santa Baby!

We took Lauren to see Santa today! She wasn't sure what to think of him, but she did love his beard.

Winter Wonderland

Lauren experienced her first snow yesterday! It was a winter wonderland here, and she absolutely loved watching the giant flakes drifting down.
