Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend with the family. On Thursday, we enjoyed a serious turkey feast with James's parents, Andrew and Tamara, and Craig. Thanks again to all for bringing delicious sides and desserts! Here are some pics from the weekend.

Rent Seekers 11.10.07

The Rent Seekers played another fantastic show at the Grog on Saturday. Robyn accidentally left the camera on video all night, so here's the only pic we have - of Robyn and Craig trying to get themselves and the band in the shot. Robyn got a sweet birthday dedication - "Pour Some Sugar on Me", which was a great honor since the band hates to play it!

Birthday!

Robyn's much-anticipated birthday - the first annual 29th birthday celebration - was tons of fun. She celebrated with pals at work by indulging in the fabulous banana cream pie cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory and by having a two-day blowout complete with 2 birthday cakes (Liane - the intern - celebrated her birthday on the day after), decorations, and presents including a gift bag filled with gummy bears and a Puss in Boots pop-up book.

Rent Seekers play SAIS

The Rent Seekers were invited back to SAIS to play a happy hour on Friday. It was a fun show and got us all geared up for their next show (aka Robyn's birthday concert) - November 10, 10 pm, Grog & Tankard on Wisconsin Ave!

Hallowe'en

Here's a pic from Robyn's work Hallowe'en party. Robyn was a princess (no real stretch there). We're really looking forward to seeing pics of our favorite little turtle (Hailey), monkey (Ewan), and skunk (Avery).

Tragically Hip Concert

We saw the Hip play the 9:30 club in DC last Friday, and it was a phenomenal show. We saw them in April at the same venue - it's the World Container tour (if you haven't checked out the album, you really should - it's awesome). It was great to see them in such a small venue, and this time we pushed our way forward until we were about 10 people from the front. They had an excellent set list, including most of the classics...they even played "Fiddler's Green", which made Robyn cry (no suprise there, we know). She cried again when we were leaving, when a group of drunk guys noticed her Roots Canada sweatshirt and serenaded her with O Canada! It was a fantastic show. Unfortunately, we have no pics for you all...we thought we couldn't get in with the camera (and we could have).
