Finally! The baby's room...

You've been asking for it for weeks...now here it is! We finally got the baby's room ready this weekend. Here are some pics. And yes, those are the cats on the changing table. We decided to pick our battles - better there than the crib or play yard, and as James pointed out, they won't be interested in it once it acquires its distinctive aroma...

The Rent Seekers in the Recording Studio

The Rent Seekers hit the recording studio last weekend! It was tons of fun - even for the pregnant groupie who was just hanging out and watching. They now have a 4 track demo CD, and hopefully will have some new gigs to report soon.

Baby Madar comes to Washington!

Andrew and Tamara hosted an excellent brunch in honor of the baby's pending arrival. We had a great time at the historic Tabard Inn, ate great food, and received some awesome gifts! Here's a pic of the group...we have to crop Tamara in later since she was behind the camera. Thanks to all our awesome family, colleagues, and friends, this baby is so set to arrive in the world in the lap of luxury!

Baby Shower at Mason

Wow! We were super spoiled at the Mason baby shower. Thanks to everyone for the generous and adorable gifts! Check out the cool quilt made by Kathy, Rick's wife. It's the Canada/US quilt for our Canmerican baby.
