Ready for her close up

We cannot get enough of Lauren in her awesome sunglasses.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a delicious Thanksgiving with Aunt Tamara, Uncle Andrew, and their family and friends. Our little turkey enjoyed squash and sweet potato!

Carrots and Cheerios

We introduced carrots to Lauren a few days ago...she's still not sure what she thinks about them. We also tried introducing Cheerios, but she's much more interested in playing with them than actually eating any. So far, a grand total of 2 have made their way into her mouth - she gagged on the first and promptly spat out the second. Her big smiles in these pictures are thanks to Daddy Dinner Theater, of which she is an enthusiastic patron.

First Haircut!

Although we really enjoyed Lauren's mullet - and we liked our chances of her winning a prize at ratemymullet.com - we decided it was time for her to stop looking like a broom from the back. So, Mommy bravely picked up the scissors, took a deep breath, and snipped. Here are the before and after shots - we think she looks adorable in all of them!

Happy birthday, Mommy!

Lauren loved Mommy's birthday! She got to wear the birthday cupcake shirt and played with wrapping paper. Mommy got lots of hugs and snuggles...what a perfect birthday gift!

Hanging out

Latest likes: peekaboo and Sophie the Giraffe! We have so much time playing with Lauren on the floor - she has so much to say (and yell), and loves to play with/eat her toys.

What a metropolitan baby!

Lauren started daycare this week! In the morning, she heads there with Mummy on the Metro. Each day, someone has commented on her cheeks on the train! At daycare, Lauren has been having a great time playing with the other babies, going for buggy rides, and snuggling with her teachers.

Yummmmmm....

Lauren is really enjoying this food thing. She is loving bananas and pears, and has warmed to prunes (that's her "no so sure about prunes" face) and squash.

Happy Hallowe'en!

Lauren was a kitty for Hallowe'en. Can't say she really enjoyed wearing the costume...then again, it was a 70 degree night and the hood (though size 12 months) was too small for her noggin. But we had a fun night handing out candy and playing with the kids on the street...and Mummy learned that the honor system does not work on Hallowe'en. (I left a bowl of candy on the steps for a minute so we could go inside and, suddenly, all the candy was gone!) Lauren also got a super fun vampire rubber ducky from Aunt Tamara and Uncle Andrew, which she loves!
