Party time!

After the ceremony, we celebrated by huddling around the outdoor heaters, mingling with the other guests, and eating hors d'oeuvres. (I may have eaten approximately 25 meatballs...). When it was time to move inside, Andrew surprised the guests by donning a kilt (Hunting Ross tartan, for the Ross side of the Madar family) and busting out his mad bagpipe skills (including Scotland the Brave, my fave!). It was awesome! Once inside, we settled in for a delicious dinner and a great party. Here are some photos of the family celebrating, including pics of A&T's first dance (featuring Andrew's patented "monster face"), Dori with Judy and Carolyn, her college roommates, Dan with his brother and sister-in-law, the band singer serenading little Vladimir, who was busting a move all night, James's cousin Laurel and her fiance Malcolm with Father Barry, and more!

The Ceremony

The ceremony and reception were held at the lovely Plumbush Inn in Cold Spring, NY. We had hot apple cider to warm us up during the outdoor ceremony, which was a much appreciated treat. Father Barry, who many of you will remember from our wedding, came from Calgary to officiate, and Tamara and Andrew had their siblings stand up with them. Sorry some of these pics are blurry, but you all know me well enough to know that I was tearing up while trying to take pictures!

Before the ceremony - family photos

We were right beside the river for the wedding photos. It was a stunning day, especially with the leaves changing. That said, it was a bit frigid, but we all channeled our inner bikini models and pretended we were in Hawaii. Here are a few of the photos we snapped.

How to Tie a Bow Tie

So James and Andrew decided to tie their own bow ties instead of using the ol' clip on. Hijinks ensued. Here's a pic.

Andrew & Tamara's Wedding 10.18.08

We just got back from Andrew & Tamara's Wedding in Cold Spring, NY. It was a beautiful event in an absolutely gorgeous setting. It was also so great to see so many family members we hadn't seen in a while, and to meet many others - Madar and Schlinger - for the first time. Thanks to Andrew and Tamara for a great day - congratulations!
