Andrew's Concert

We checked out Andrew's concert with the National Cathedral Choral Society later in the day on Sunday. They performed Mendelssohn's "Elijah", and it was gorgeous. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of purchasing the deeply discounted seats, and ended up staring at the side of a wall - although, funnily enough, the only head we could see (you can see it in the pic) was Andrew's. Here are some pics of the Cathedral as well as one of our spectacular view.

Capitol Hill Classic 10K

Last Sunday, we ran the Capitol Hill Classic 10K. It was a triumph for James, who ran the whole thing on a pulled MCL and still finished in an acceptable time. Not so much for Robyn, who had an asthma attack mid race and finishing in a deplorable 70 min - but she still finished, walking the last mile.

Victory brunch

To say thank you for their generosity and support in the half-marathon training, I made brunch for James, Adam, Gavin, Stef (aka The Rent Seekers), Andrew, Tamara, Scott, and Craig. It was a great afternoon, and the food really hit the spot after Saturday's very late night at the Grog. (This also shows how teeny our apartment is - I could not stand far enough back to get everyone into one shot!)

More Rent Seekers!

The Rent Seekers played another rockin' show at the Grog on Saturday night. New songs included: Sk8tr Boi, Helter Skelter, Jump, and Are You Gonna Go My Way. The show also marked the debut of James's awesome new cowboy hat!

Wicked guitar solo!!

Here's a link to the awesome guitar solo we saw in Nashville (referenced below). This guy is insane! http://youtube.com/watch?v=S4WNO4tchUk
