He Shoots, He Scores! (From Center Ice, too!)

Head on over to The Hemsworths to watch an awesome video of Ewan's first hockey game. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want to go out and buy little orange pylons...

Photo Booth

She's ready for her close-ups...and boy, does she love the camera!

Dip

Hi Daddy!

(This is so cute. And she also calls Daddy "babaji", which is super adorable!)

Happy birthday to Mummy

Mummy was very spoiled for her birthday!

More 19 month hijinks!

19 months!

A series of videos highlighting Lauren's new skills - eating (effectively) with a spoon (well, aside from the whole yogurt beard thing), using a fork, dipping, making animal sounds, singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Happy and You Know It", and more...

Bumblebee: Take Two

Bumblebee: Take One

Not going to lie - this is not the most exciting video in the world. But it captures the awesomeness of the costume in a way that the stills didn't. What a cute little bumblebee!

A Bee-witching Hallowe'en

Our little bumblebee had a fun Hallowe'en! She especially enjoyed the Teddy Grahams at her friend Graham's house.

Scott & Finnuala

It was a beautiful, beautiful wedding.

Boston

We headed up to Boston last weekend to celebrate the wedding of some good friends. We only had about 4 hours to spend in Beantown, so we checked out Cambridge and Harvard Square...where we found a Peet's Coffee and Tea! (Yay!) We then went over to Boston Common and checked out the Boston Public Garden and the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue, and wandered around the Beacon Hill neighborhood.

A special shout-out to Lauren's Meme, who came down to DC to spend the weekend with her so Mummy and Daddy could go away. There were tears in Boston on Friday night (bet you can't guess who cried), but it was really nice to have a weekend getaway, and Lauren had a blast playing with her baby, going down the "whee!" (slide) countless times, reading, singing, and learning a zillion new words (best one: cheeks).

Popsicles!

Our entire family has caught a cold, so today we all indulged in popsicles. Check out Lauren having her first taste of orange popsicle goodness. Mikey likes it!

Bubble fun

Fun at the park

We spent some nice family time playing at the park this weekend. Lauren loves - and demands - bubbles, so we loaded up the stroller with bubbles and her ball, and had lots of fun together.

Our baby can read!

She's constantly surprising us by pointing to objects in the pictures and saying the word (especially if that word is "car!", her favorite). New words include shoe, window, night-night, bird, whee, and whoa!

Quiet Time

Lauren loves to climb into her chair and read a book. Here's how we found her Saturday morning.

A Little More Lauren

...because, really, that's what this blog is all about. Lauren has grown into a really little girl over the past few weeks. She's very independent - insists on walking on her own, speaks to us in complete (babble) sentences, and knows how to ask for what she wants (a combination of more babbling, real words, some whining, some fake crying, and some sign language). Her current likes are: walking up and down the sidewalks for hours and saying "mummy", "daddy", "more", "baby", "man", and "go", which means go, car, dog, and sometimes other things. She also adores watermelon, has learned to throw a ball, and is practicing drinking from real cup. We are absolutely in love with her (which is nothing new).

Malcolm and Laurel Get Married

We had a fabulous weekend in Brooklyn to celebrate James's cousin Laurel's wedding to Malcolm. We enjoyed the gentlemanly hospitality of Stef in his gorgeous apartment, ate pain au chocolat at a sidewalk cafe, sampled the food and ultra-cool environmental design of Bark, and got coffee galore at Gorilla . We loved strolling the neighborhood and spending time with family and friends. The wedding itself was beautiful, and the food at Palo Santo was awesome! Congrats to the happy couple. (Oh, and black and white cookies forever!)
